UNDERWATER BULKHEAD - MOVEABLE WALL
ZetaPool’s
underwater bulkheads are
used to create different portions of the pool with variable lengths
at once; this system ensure the
pool to be more versatile and functional. Bulkheads
are anchored to the bottom of the pool with special customized
hinges; in case of need, with this mechanism, bulkheads are moved
completely down and the pool turn out to be totally free.
Cod. 2007: Retractable bulkhead (patented)

- Created to optimize the use of pool area, it enable different activities to take place at the same time.
- Doesn’t require supports or external structures.
- The structure of the partition consists of an assembly of reticular spatial beams made of welded stainless steel sections . It comes in two pieces prepared in Zetapool’s facilities, and then inserted into the pool and joined by chains along the bottom of the pool. They can be used to mark one or more lanes, operating independently.
- The structure is entirely covered with grids in polypropylene compound, insensitive to ultraviolet rays and chemical agents added to the water. Grids are available in various colours. The structure use special flat “L” shaped grids, with rounded edges, non-slip and with dark grids to point out race-lanes division, in compliance with FINA regulation and according also to the existing lanes of the pool.

- Developed to resolve safety issues in swimming pools with a divers’ area. It consists of an assembly of reticular spatial beams made of welded stainless steel sections connected and braced to each other in order to achieve a homogeneous and resistant base to cover the diver’s area.
- The structure is connected to the side of the area with a tube section and some chains made of stainless steel AISI 304, providing a semi-mobile partition which can be opened and closed as necessary. The construction also has two trapdoors: to ease the regular cleaning of the pool, the maintenance and the inspection of the entire structure and its mechanical parts.
- The structure can withstand an accidental overload (in addition to the permanent loads) of 100 kg/sqm in the absence of water ( in presence of water an upward movement is produced).
- The 100 kg/sqm are devised to simplify cleaning: once the partition is closed and pool is empty, two person may walk across it in order to carry out cleaning procedures in complete safety.
